Rewind

Selecta is a sans-serif typeface designed by Daniel Haettenschwiller, who is part of Maximage, after years of research into the grotesque genre. Daniel selected details from a wide corpus of historical and modern sans-serif typefaces and made them his own, focusing notably on the legibility and personality of the typeface. 

Rewind is a text I wrote for the type specimen that was published along the typeface. The text describes the concepts and processes that went behind the design process. Both Selecta and the type specimen, which was designed by Giliane Cachin, are available on the foundry Maxitype.
